Alaska Land Exploration is owned and operated by Alex Shapiro. Alex is a highly qualified helicopter pilot experienced in Alaskan flight operations, certified flight instructor, and experienced in remote wilderness logistics. Beyond his skills at the controls, Alex is a technically gifted and certified airframe and powerplant mechanic. His expertise and attentions to detail with aircraft system reduced mechanical delays. Alex’s creative problem-solving approach also makes him extremely capable of solving your remote wilderness logistics. Over the years, Alex has developed the creativity and the “whatever it takes” approach that makes him an indispensable partner.
Chad Rowe

Chad Rowe began his career in aviation maintenance in 1990 at the age of 18 and is the Director of Maintenance for Alaska Land Exploration. Chad is a highly qualified certified airframe and powerplant mechanic who has developed and honed his skills through the challenging situations he’s experienced throughout his career. Chad is also a fixed-wing aircraft pilot, owner, and operator who has extensive experience operating in the Alaskan wilderness. Chad is a reliable, cautious, and methodical aircraft mechanic who believes that preventative maintenance is essential to a safe operation.
